Unless you’ve been living under a rock the past few months, you have probably heard Mark Zuckerberg or Satya Nadella speaking about the metaverse and how it’s going to transform the way we use the internet and interact with each other online.
But what is the metaverse exactly? And why is it such a game-changer?

It’s also going to be a digital economy and a world, where you can enter to purchase items as you would in RL (real life) and where you could be whoever you wish to be. If you wished to become a supermodel in the real world, but that dream never came true, you could make that a reality in the metaverse.
The fascinating thing about the metaverse is that it’s in the beginning phases of being built, so there is no way of knowing what the metaverse platform would include once we get deeper into it.
Into the Metaverse, We All Go
Another thing to note about the metaverse is that everyone exists as holograms in it. This allows hundreds of people to be hosted in a single instance of a server with motion-tracking tools to see where the holograms’ hands, feet, and faces move.
Of course, the metaverse world is still quite limited, but the possibilities are endless. As our imaginations soar, the metaverse will become more and more complicated, with millions of people being hosted in the space at the same time, performing a hundred different tasks, and having a thousand different conversations.
It’s an exciting time to be alive, to be sure.
